Outside of research, I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, camping, tennis, writing, cooking, reading, watching stand-up comedy, visiting art galleries, and trying new restaurants.
I completed my bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of San Diego. As an undergraduate, I conducted research on the neurobiological correlates of autism, aggression in professional hockey, and the cognitive processes involved in moral judgments. After graduating, I worked as a marketing researcher at a 3D printing company before joining UCLA as a staff research associate to study non-invasive brain stimulation and tobacco use disorder. Currently, I am a PhD student in the UCLA Neuroscience Interdepartmental Program, where I study the neural mechanisms underlying addiction and depression, as well as novel brain stimulation treatments for these disorders.
